CM to launch two-day Sejiwa Senada at Dataran Saratok tomorrow

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will launch the Sejiwa Senada programme at Dataran Saratok tomorrow (April 21).

Jointly organised by the state and federal governments, the two-day programme will involve over 100 booths from various agencies to give locals the chance to gain first-hand information on opportunities and services from the government.

There will also be exhibitions, booths selling local products, performances by local artistes, and lucky draws.

The lucky draw grand prize is a Perodua Axia, while the other prizes are a motorcycle, television and other electrical items.

Jay Jay (Missing Shadows), Bob AF, Zee Zee, and Iban singers such as Ricky Andrewson, Ricky El, and Melissa Francis will perform tomorrow.

The programme is part of the state government’s initiative to reach out to the people on the ground to the theme ‘Government with the People’.

Meanwhile, Jalan Ong Ho San and a feeder road between SJK Myn Sin and the community hall will be closed to the public.

Members of the public are advised to park their vehicles at Pasar Baru, Pekan Saratok, Rumah Dayak, Pasar Taman Muhibbah, or Mega Inn.

Alternatively, they can also park at the vacant land in front of Saratok Hospital or the Saratok District Office.
