KUCHING: Top federal leaders have given the assurance to collaborate with Sarawak government on administration matters.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has urged the people not to worry while reiterating that the state government will work with the federal government.

“Malaysia is a strong nation and Malaysia is a country that needs a good and stable governance. Sarawak will help them,” he said at the Bubur Lambuk and Bubur Pedas programme held at the mini waterfront of Kampung Bintangor Kecil here today.

The state government, he added, will continue to implement development programmes for Sarawak.

“As such, people don’t have to worry and be overly concerned. We are thankful that Sarawak has abundance of resources which must be properly managed to continue our development for the future of Sarawak,” he reassured.

During a brief interview, he dismissed that there have been talks between him and Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed following a courtesy call to the Prime Minister’s Office last Thursday.
